On October 20, 2024, ISRD organized a pioneering Workshop for Children’s Writers at the Conference Hall, Markaz Islami Hind, New Delhi—drawing leading authors, educators, and psychologists committed to revitalizing children’s literature in India. The event championed the creation of books that nurture ethical values, cultural self-awareness, and critical thinking among young readers.

Speakers highlighted the urgent need to counter modern challenges such as screen addiction with accessible, value-driven storytelling. Expert panels, featuring Dr. SQR Ilyas and child psychologist Dr. Raziul-Islam Nadvi, discussed the intersection of child development and literature that reflects Islamic and Indian values. Hands-on sessions encouraged aspiring writers to craft engaging content, culminating in recommendations for fostering a new generation of mindful, responsible readers. The workshop reinforced ISRD’s leading role in shaping the future of ethical children’s publishing in India.
